Acquisition of Control Valve Services broadens industrial services capabilities

Coriant, the recently established UK-based industrial and infrastructure maintenance services Group backed by H.I.G. Capital, today announces the acquisition of Control Valve Services (CVS) as part of its strategy to build a comprehensive, scaled service offer in the maintenance, repair and optimisation of critical infrastructure.

CVS is a highly regarded specialist provider of diagnostics-led valve servicing, refurbishment and outage support solutions. The business operates primarily in end markets characterised by high-cost-of-failure, high-temperature and high-pressure environments, including power generation and petrochemical facilities, where technical precision and reliability are critical.

The acquisition of CVS follows the recent launch of Coriant to unite Rainham, Zenith and TEi, forming a family of best-in-class industrial services providers. Coriant was established to bring together complementary expertise, strengthen customer partnerships and create a scalable platform for growth across critical infrastructure.

CVS has strong overlap with the Group’s existing Energy-from-Waste (EfW) relationships. This overlap presents immediate opportunities to deepen existing customer relationships and enhance delivery integration. Beyond the EfW sector, the acquisition creates further growth opportunities across the Group’s broader end-markets by combining CVS’ specialist expertise with Coriant’s deep presence across adjacent critical infrastructure.

Tom Walsh, Chairman of Coriant, commented:

“CVS is a highly complementary addition to our Group. Its technical expertise, strong customer relationships and reputation for quality align perfectly with our strategy of building a leading, integrated Industrial Services group. We see clear opportunities to deepen our support for key EfW clients and to extend CVS’s specialist capability across our wider market presence. This acquisition strengthens the Group and reinforces our commitment to delivering critical services safely, reliably and at scale.”

Matt Sutcliffe, Managing Director, Control Valve Services, added:

“Joining Coriant represents an exciting next chapter for CVS. We have built a strong reputation in specialist valve services, and becoming part of a broader Industrial Services group gives us the opportunity to expand our reach while maintaining our technical focus and customer-first approach. The strategic fit is clear, and we look forward to working closely with the wider Coriant businesses to deliver enhanced value to our clients.”

Adam Taylor, Non-Executive Director of Coriant, Principal at H.I.G., added:

“We are delighted to welcome CVS to Coriant as our fourth acquisition in the UK industrial services market and look forward to working with the CVS team. CVS’ specialist skillset and long-standing customer relationships in critical industries are highly complementary to our existing footprint. We are excited by the outlook for Coriant and see opportunities for further acquisitions on the horizon.”
