Strategic acquisition of SCA expands Coriant’s capabilities
Strategic Acquisition of SCA expands Coriant’s capabilities in specialist access, defence, marine, and infrastructure
Coriant, the industrial and infrastructure maintenance services group, backed by H.I.G Capital, today welcomes SCA to its group as part of its strategy to build a comprehensive, scaled service offering in the maintenance, repair, and optimisation of critical infrastructure.
SCA is a specialist provider of access, temporary containment, and industrial support services across the defence, marine and infrastructure sectors. As an established service provider, SCA has built a strong reputation for operating in complex, safety-critical environments, particularly within the naval, marine and ship repair markets.
The acquisition of SCA follows the recent creation of Coriant, which brought together Rainham, Zenith, TEi and, most recently, Control Valve Services (CVS), forming a family of best-in-class industrial services providers operating under their own well-recognised brands. This transaction reflects a clear strategic alignment with Coriant’s ambition to expand its capabilities in defence, and critical infrastructure support services, enhancing the group’s ability to deliver integrated, end-to-end project support in the most technically demanding environments.
Maxine Mayhew, CEO of Coriant, commented:
“Bringing SCA into Coriant marks another important step in building a scaled, differentiated industrial services platform. SCA’s proven expertise in specialist access and its strong presence in the defence, marine and infrastructure markets significantly enhances our ability to support customers across the full lifecycle of critical assets. This acquisition not only broadens our capabilities but also strengthens our position as a partner of choice for complex, safety-critical projects where reliability and technical excellence are paramount.”
Justin Cooper, Group Managing Director, SCA, added:
“Joining Coriant represents an exciting new chapter for SCA. We have built our business on delivering high-quality, safe, and reliable access solutions in some of the most demanding environments and becoming part of Coriant allows us to accelerate that growth journey. With the support of a larger group and access to complementary services, we are well positioned to expand our offering, invest in our people, and continue delivering exceptional outcomes for our customers.”
Adam Taylor, Non-Executive Director of Coriant, Principal at H.I.G., added:
“We are pleased to support Coriant in the acquisition of SCA, which represents a strong strategic fit with the group’s growth ambitions. SCA adds highly complementary capabilities and deep sector expertise, further strengthening Coriant’s ability to deliver integrated solutions across critical infrastructure markets. We continue to see significant opportunity to build a market-leading platform, through targeted acquisitions and organic growth, underpinned by a focus on quality, safety, and operational excellence”.
